The event will be open to ticket holders only and will be limited to a maximum of 30 visitors, affording a wide range of photographic opportunities.
The Royal Deeside Railway will be running a photographic event on Saturday 23rd March 2019.
Advance booking online
All tickets for this event will be made available only by advance booking online using a credit/debit card, or a PayPal account.
We regret that we are unable to take phone or postal bookings, or payment by cheque for this event.
Bookings close at 0900 on the morning of the service day, or earlier if the event becomes sold out.
There will be a series of static and moving scenes available using various steam and diesel locomotives, in conjunction with MkII passenger coaches, the BEMU (Battery Electric Multiple Unit), a large self powered rail crane and other items of freight rolling stock.
The event will run from 08.00 until 16.00 and the waiting room in the Victorian station building will also be available for use, complete with warming coal fire. The railway volunteers will be in period costume.
The £36 ticket includes unlimited travel on all services which will run up and down the line throughout the day, transport by rail to photo locations at the west end of the line, and unlimited complimentary tea or coffee during the day.
There will be safety briefings given where appropriate and Hi-Vis vests will be provided for all visitors to enable access trackside at certain times during the day.
